Sefton Park, located in the south of Liverpool, has a similar scale and layout to Regent's Park in London. Surrounded by sloping lawns, the long winding boating lake is seen here with a sapling silhouetted against a wintry sky.

A local resident told me he had taken a photo from exactly this viewpoint, which he sees every day while going for walks in the park. Returning on 23 May 2006 I noticed that the sapling is no longer there.
