A new housing development in Moston is surrounded by older terraced properties, with Manchester city centre visible some three miles to the south. The viewpoint is from the MANCAT building in Moston, north Manchester.

The third issue of the British Council website UKinfocus, for which I am providing the photographs, is on the theme of innovative housing in the UK. The issue is online from December 2003.

This is image is not true to life! The city centre skyline is taken from another view looking in a more southerly direction! Though essentially a fabrication, this image shows the link between the new housing and the city centre in a truthful way which isn't apparent in the original view.
