Seen from the viewing terrace, a Boeing 737-800 of Air Berlin about to depart, and behind it, standing disused on the apron, two aircraft from the GDR era: An Ilyushin IL62 passenger jet and an Ilyushin IL18 turboprop passenger aircraft, both in the colours of the now defunct East German airline Interflug.

For the benefit of plane spotters, here are the registrations: Air Berlin B737 : D-ABBO ; Interflug IL 62 : DDR-SEF nad IL 18 DDR-STA. In 1991 I flew on an Aeroflot IL62 from Moscow to Colombo - Verdict: Noisy, but exciting!
