Westminster Big Ben clock tower by night

The Palace of Westminster clock tower, known popularly as Big Ben, seen here from the corner of Whitehall with the red light trail of a passing car. Westminster is the name of the nearby cathedral, but in day to day usage, Westminster refers to the UK Houses of Parliament.

I was walking to Victoria Coach Station to catch the overnight bus to Manchester when I stopped to take this photo. I used the Nikon Coolpix 990, held steady on the railing. The sloping angle is the result of the shape of the camera.
