Manchester Redeveloped Piccadilly Fountains

The walk-through fountains in Piccadilly Gardens are on an oval shaped base placed on the north eastern side of Piccadilly, close to Oldham Street. They are very popular with the general public.

The fountains are the only positive feature in an otherwise grim and characterless remake of the original gardens. They could easily have been incorporated into an alternative plan which didn't involve placing an office building on a green space.
