This large fomat paperback by Judith Sandling and Mike Leber examines the locations which Lowry depicted, and compares the paintings with contemporary photographs. Contains many of Lowry's most famous works.

Absorbing and well-researched, this book gives many insights into Lowry's life and the places he knew and depicted. I love looking at the enlarged details of the paintings which have great impact and clarity on the large size pages. The maps could possibly have been more detailed and better researched but all in all a must for any admirer of L S Lowry.
