30 Bus operated by Stagecoach on Upper St Islington on its way from Hackney to Marble Arch in Central London on 23 June 2005. A number 30 bus identical to this one was targeted by a terrorist bomb almost exactly two weeks later on 7 July 2005. I often thought that riding the bus in London might be a safer option than the Underground, though not for the victims of 7th July. Like most people, I will have no hesitation in using the bus and Underground in London again.
