View south along Friedrichstraße towards Französische Straße as seen from the upper deck of a tour bus on Unter Den Linden. At the southern end of Friedrichstraße is Checkpoint Charlie, celebrated former entry point into East Berlin from the West.

Once synonymous with the division of Berlin, Friedrichstraße has regained its status as a busy and fashionable street.
