Faces from the Northern Lights music industry event for unsigned artists, organised by Freeflow and held at Bar 38 in Manchester city centre on Wednesday 2 May 2007.

Personalities include: Guy Garvey of Elbow (top left), Kid Electric (top middle), Chris Long (BBC Manchester) (top right). Other names to be added.

Panellists from the music and related industries discussed questions about how unsigned artists can promote themselve and make a living from music. In the audience were mostly young musicians. In the evening a selection of unsigned bands performed.

Northern Lights was an excellent event, like a mini-In The City, with many distinguished panellists, some of whom had travelled from London, and remarkably, entry was free.
