The high speed ferry Explorer, operated by Stena Line heads out of Dun Laoghaire harbour for the one and a half hour journey to Holyhead in North Wales. In the foreground are yachts moored in the harbour. For centuries, Dun Laoghaire (former Kingstown), was the main point of arrival and departure from England and Wales. The port of Holyhead (Welsh: Caergybi) is around 57 miles to the east of Dun Laoghaire. The Stena Explorer is a very fast, convenient and enjoyable way to travel across the Irish Sea.
