Blackrock Park is situated next to the railway line in Blackrock, around 4 miles (6 km) the south of Dublin. There is a lake - with an island and a classical portico similar to the one that used to stand next to the railway line very close to here. There are views across the railway line, now part of the DART system, and out over Dublin Bay. Blackrock Park is just one of many superb parks in the Dublin area. Blackrock is situated outside Dublin City in the 'county of Dún Laoghaire -Rathdown'.
