Architectural details of the upper part of The Ark in Hammersmith West London
"Ralph Erskine, who died in 2005, designed the Ark. Erskine was born in England but spent most of his life in Sweden, where he did most of his work. The Ark is one of very few projects built by Erskine in this country, with the other most notable work being the Byker Wall housing estate in Newcastle upon Tyne.
