Manchester River Irwell dismal view with old post office

View from the new bridge over the River Irwell towards the Victoria Station railway bridge over the River Irwell. On the left is the old post office building which is to be converted into apartments. This image captured 1997 and recoloured with a sepia-style tone to simulate an old print.

In foggy weather, the scene exuded a strong aura of the past, which I added to by adding a brown sepia tone in Photoshop. This image first appeared in Eyewitness in Manchester, part of Manchester Online.
