Manchester Airport Emirates Airbus A330

Emirates operate twice daily service between Manchester Dubai using the Airbus A330*. Here it is just after landing at a drizzly and overcast Manchester Airport on 2 March 2002, seen from the Aviation Viewing Park.

The Airbus carries the UAE national flag, the Dubai Shopping Festival logo and in Arabic the word 'Al-Emarat'. The Emirates livery is simple but very eye-catching.

*This is an Airbus A330 not A340, as I wrote previously. Apologies and thanks to Phil Blinkhorn and Mick Curran for alerting me to the error.
