The Memorial to the Murdered Jews in Europe the centre of Berlin close to the line of the former Berlin Wall.

We are looking west directly into the setting sun. The memorial has the look of a collection of tomstones or mausoleums. Each piece of rectangular stone is unique and on a slightly different level. The monument was designed by American architect Peter Eisenman.
