Dubai Clocktower by day

Dubai Clock Tower is a graceful concrete structure with two sets of four gently curving arms. The lower set support a clock with four faces, with the upper set coming together to form a point at the top. There is a fountain underneath, with palm trees around the edge of the roundabout. It is 1.15pm. Most shops and businesses have closed for the afternoon siesta. Traffic is fairly light. On the Al Oroba building behind are adverts for shell Helix oil and Seiko watches. The Caravan restaurant stands on the corner.

The Clocktower looks fantastic after its recent refurbishment.
