Silver-painted ornate street lamp of the type which can be seen all over Dublin. The decoration is on a theme of the shamrock, national symbol of Ireland.

The richly ornamented and throughly old- fashioned street lamps of Dublin are one of the most distinctive features of the streetscape. The design must be early 20th century, though influenced by earlier times.
