The Ark is an office building of unusual design situated next to the Hammersmith Flyover (left) in west London. Rising from a small base, the building flares out like the hull of a ship. The building was conceived with light, space, and energy efficiency in mind, as well as promoting teamwork and open communication among the people who use it The Ark was designed by architect Ralph Erskine and completed in 1992.
The Ark is a great example of thoughful and innovative modern architecture. It's a shame there aren't more buildings around like The Ark.
