Manchester cityscape view from an apartment on the top floor of block one, St Georges Island apartments, designed and built by Dandara. The apartments are currently in the final stages of fitting out, and will be available for purchase during 2006.
The view over south east Manchester city centre is superb. In the centre is the Beetham Hilton Tower, now nearly completed. On the left is the CIS Building and the Arndale Tower. Between the town hall tower, built 1874, and once the tallest structure in Manchester, is the Great Northern Tower, built 2006. To the right is the Refuge Assurance tower of 1906, now Palace Hotel. Sweeping up the left hand side is the trio of railway viaducts built at different times, the left hand one is disused, the middle one used by Metrolink trams and the right hand one by trains. Castlefield is below to the centre right. A very lucky person, couple or family will shortly be enjoying this view every day.
