Philippines Manila: Panorama of Pasig River from Intramuros

The original old town of Manila, founded in the 16th century, was built next to the Pasig River. This is the view from Fort Santiago at the northern end of the Intramuros District.

The modern buildings along the Pasig River at this point are disappointing. Here would have been a great opportunity to create a modern and attractive cityscape over water, as in Dubai.
