M60 motorway looking north from footbridge at Brinnington

View of the northbound carriageway of the M60 motorway (former M63) looking north towards Denton. The viewpoint is the footbridge at Brinnington, Stockport.

The Pennine hills north of Oldham and Bury can be seen in the distance. The road dips down gently to cross the valley of the River Tame, which marks the boundary between Lancashire and Cheshire (i.e. the real, ancient counties, not the current county council areas).
