Busaras (literally 'bus house') is the main bus station in Dublin for long distance buses. It is situated behind the Custom House near Connolly Station. It was designed by Michael Scott and his design team.
Full details about Busaras on the excellent Irish Architecture website.
Busaras was one of the first International Modern Style Buildings in Europe. It's amazing to think it opened as early as 1953, and it still looks contemporary today. As a child visiting Dublin I was fascinated with Busaras, and wished there had been more modern buildings like it in Dublin.
