The Forth Bridge is a cantilever bridge across the River Forth which carrying the main railway line from Edinburgh to the north of Scotland. It was designed by Sir John Fowler and Benjamin Baker and opened in 1890.

The Forth Bridge is a breathtaking sight, and one of the greatest achievements of Victorian design and engineering. I often use the term 'like painting the Forth Bridge' to describe the ongoing development and maintenance work I have to do on the aidan.co.uk website.
