Morrisons supermarket signs Cheadle Heath Stockport

Signs at the Morrisons supermarket and petrol station, Cheadle Heath, Stockport. On the left is the old Morrisons sign and on the right, the redesigned one. The price of petrol on 11 February 2008 is 102.9 pence per litre or £4.68 per gallon. City diesel is 107.9 pence per litre or £4.91 per gallon. The supermarket is built on the site of Cheadle Heath Station, which features in my short film 'Encounter Out Of Time'.

Why did I take this photo? From time to time I like to capture the current price of petrol as seen on a petrol station forecourt. I also wanted to take a copy of the old and new Morrisons signs before the old one is phased out. I prefer the old one as it bolder and more eye-catching than the new one.
