The sun goes down behind the hills of Flintshire, North Wales. We are looking across the estuary of the River Dee - in Welsh Afon Dyfrdwy from the beach at West Kirby near Liverpool. West Kirby is on the westernmost point of Cheshire, on the Wirral Peninsula. It is about half an hour's train ride from Liverpool, and just south of the town of Hoylake.
