Manchester Salford Ash Street painted pink

In 1998 Ash Street in the Langworthy area of Salford was painted pink as part of a promotion for Barbie dolls. The view is from the top of the steps of Chimney Pot Park. This inner city area is now being regenerated in collaboration with Urban Splash.

The pink paint gave the houses a surreal look, almost as if they had been altered in Photoshop.
