These two landmark buildings bear a strong resemblance. The UN Building dates from the late 1940s. The Sunley Building was designed a few years later and completed in 1965. It is one of the tallest office buildings in the UK outside London. In 2005 it is undergoing renovation by owners Bruntwood Properties.
The angled roof of the recently built Immigration Appellate Authority at the base of City Tower bears a remarkable resemblance to the small UN building.
