Manchester's Arndale Tower with the Big Wheel set up temporarily during winter 2004/2005. It's just after dusk and the viewpoint is from the bridge which carries the Inner Relief Route over the River Irwell, near Boddington's Brewery. Silhouetted on the right is Manchester Cathedral.

We are looking above the former Exchange Station. Its train shed, taken down in the 1970s would have blocked most of the view seen here.
