View north along London Road in August 2000. In the centre is the Malmaison Hotel, former Joshua Hoyle Building. To its left is the disused DSS building on Aytoun St.

Several tall buildings have arise on the Piccadilly Place site to the left, and a new footbridge spans London Road just above the junction with Store Street, lower right.
