Cock Robin Bridge is located in an industrial area of Pendleton, close to the A6 in Salford. The bridge crosses the railway line and the remains of the Manchester Bolton and Bury canal.

Decrepit industrial locations such as this are a fascinating photographic subject, especially on a gloomy, drizzly day. Places like this retain the look and atmosphere of the old Salford and Manchester and are reminiscent of the paintings of Trevor Grimshaw.
