Prestige office building No 1 City Square is a dominant feature in Leeds city centre, overlooking City Square near Leeds main railway station. It has white walls, art deco references and an atrium with glass windows. It is similar to and perhaps inspired by BBC Broadcasting House in London. Opened in 1998 it was designed by Abbey Hanson Rowe, later Abbey Holford Rowe.

The design is interesting and uses the street plan well, but the height is well above the original scale of this Victorian Square. But maybe that's the point: No 1 City Square makes a statement about Leeds you can't ignore.
