The remarkable golden skies seen over west Cheshire on 17 Nov 1997 are captured here. The lane is wet after heavy rain, but the sun has appeared, lighting up the sky. The trees and a house are silhouetted against the sky. It was a remarkable sight. People often complain about the weather in the UK but it is far more varied and interesting than in many other parts of the world, for example the Middle East and there are no extremes of temperature.
