Looking along Deansgate in Manchester city centre with the Barton Arcade on the right. Number One Deansgate rises up in the centre and around a quarter of a mile ahead is Manchester Cathedral.

On the right is bus number 8 to Bolton operated by FirstBus. It's a so-called 'bendy bus' which is also used on the 135 to Bury. The sign on the left says 'Ring road to all routes' with a left arrow and 'Access only' straight ahead. Deansgate is part of the A56, which continues along Victoria Street, past the Cathedral and on to Bury New Road.
