The mills in Ancoats, just to the east of Manchester city centre are seen here in a derelict state on 15 March 2000. They stood derelict for many years before renovation took place in the first half of the 2000s.

This part of Ancoats is a conservation area, and many of the buildings have been saved and re-use, though not all.
