Classic London RT double decker bus. On 3 March 2007 the bus was brought to Manchester to celebrate the retirement of Roger Tripp from GMPTE (Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive).
This particular bus was new in 1952 and started out at Holloway Garage. it was withdrawn in 1976 from Walworth Garage. It was then purchased by Lesney, makers of Matchbox toys and was used as a staff bus from 1977 to 1983 when the company went bust. It was then purchased by David Thrower, who has carried out two renovations on it. The bus is strictly for pleasure and is not for sale. He takes it to rallies and events.
