View east along Cheadle Village main street

View from beside the parish church along the main street in Cheadle Village. Since 1974 Cheadle has been part of Stockport MBC. Stockport town centre is about 3 miles further along this road, the A560.

The streetscape is 19th century in scale, recalling the times when Cheadle was a quiet village in the countryside. Today Cheadle is a residential suburb within the Stockport / south Manchester 'commuter belt'. This photo was taken on a very significant day for me. Contact if you're curious.
