View from beside the parish church along the main street in Cheadle Village. Since 1974 Cheadle has been part of Stockport MBC. Stockport town centre is about 3 miles further along this road, the A560. The streetscape is 19th century in scale, recalling the times when Cheadle was a quiet village in the countryside. Today Cheadle is a residential suburb within the Stockport / south Manchester 'commuter belt'. This photo was taken on a very significant day for me. Contact if you're curious.
