Looking towards Terminal 1 Manchester Airport, with a Lufthansa Boeing 737 taxiing before take off.

Much has changed since the 1962 terminal building was opened, but the original admin block is still visible in the centre of the picture. New buildings have appeared to the left and the right, and the control tower building, has been remodelled. Spectators terraces, once laid out on the roof of the terminal, have long since been closed. Viewpoint is the Aviation Viewing Park.
