Picture: Manchester Rock Radio four billboard ads May 2008 » Filename: ManRockRadioAds4x8511.jpg

Billboard ads with tongue-in-cheek copy were used to promote Rock Radio, the classic rock station launched in Manchester during May 2008. Ad sites pictured here are around the Oldham Road Rochdale Rd area, and (lower right) the A6 Wellington Rd South Stockport.

The copy reads: 'Of course we play religious music. (Geneis, Nazareth, Judas Priest)'; Hello Manchester. Are you ready to rock?'; 'Boyzone freezone.'; 'We do have a place for Atomic Kitten. (the bottom of the canal';. Visit www.rockradiomanchester.co.uk/ or tune to 106.1 fm.
