This is how the CIS Tower looked in 2003, along with its companion building New Century Hall. Both were constructed around 1962. The CIS was the tallest building in Manchester until construction of the Hilton Tower from 2004-2007. This is how the building looked for four decades until solar panels were added to the service tower, covering the white tiles.
