This is the building that housed the former Strawberry Studios as it looked on the morning of Wednesday 29 April 2009. Strawberry Studios operated from 1968 to 1993 and is strongly associated with 10cc as well as other famous artists including Joy Division, Paul McCartney and the Syd Lawrence Orchestra. The name is in honour of the Beatles song 'Strawberry Fields Forever'.

Though the studios have long since closed, the gold letters are still there, reminding us of this important piece of Stockport musical heritage. Whenever I pass the former Strawberry Studios I think of the 10cc song 'I'm not in love'. The blue plaque was added in 2007. A sign on the front facade advertises serviced offices for rent.
