One of the signs at Stockport railway station. The sign is on platform 3 and we are looking from platform 1. In the background is the council-owned block of flats Hollywood Towers.

In the past, Stockport station was also known as Edgeley Station to distinguish it from the former Tiviot Dale station, which was located on Lancashire Hill.
