This Georgian style house built of grey stone stands next to Ringsend power station in the Docks area on the south bank of the river Liffey. The house facade is lit up by mid-evening sunlight. Across Dublin Bay are the suburbs between Dublin and Dun Laoghaire and in the distance is the Great Sugarloaf Mountain in County Wicklow.
Dublin is full of surprises. I had never noticed this rather handsome house, evidently built in the late 18th century, standing next to Ringsend Power station, very far down the river in the Docks area, now under redevelopment. I would love to know more about this house.
