Looking across Wilmslow Road from Park Crescent towards the building that houses the Pink Garlic restaurant. The white painted facade is floodlit in pink. Others include Shotz Cafe, Chunky Chicken and Pan Rhythm Centre and Andalos. It's interesting how the staid, Victorian style buildings have been adopted and adapted by the more recent arrivals from the East. In 1959 there was one oriental spice shop in Rusholme. In 2009 practically everywhere on the 'Curry Mile' is 'Eastern'. About the photos This image is from the portfolio of Aidan O'Rourke photographer writer website publisher.
