View of the facade of Stockport Plaza cinema with its green and red neon sign, together with the Christmas Tree set up in Mersey Square. This view is from the bus stops on Wellington Road North, around 300 yards from the Christmas tree and 600 yards from the cinema.

This is an unexpected angle I noticed as I passed the bus stops on Wellington Road North. The combination of the Christmas tree - r at least the left half of it, and the Plaza sign looks great. Possible 2010 Christmas card?

Title:	Stockport Plaza cinema and Christmas tree

Technical details:	Sony Alpha A350 digital SLR camera and Sony 75-300mm zoom lens. I placed the camera on the railing next to the bus stops and aimed the 300mm zoom lens towards the tree and cinema. I held the camera very steady and the image was very sharp. A solid surface works much better than a shaky tripod and you can take the photo discreetly. The Sony Alpha; A350's flip out LCD screen was essential in order to to frame the image correctly. I simply can't work without a flip-out LCD but most digital SLRs don't have them. After enhancing the photo, I added some extra sharpness to the medium and small size images to make the lights on the Christmas tree brighter. In Photoshop, I also took the star from another photo and pasted it near the top of the tree.
