Since 2010 Aidan O’Rourke has been running photography walks in Manchester and Liverpool. The walks take place usually at the weekend, either once or twice a month in each of the two cities.

Scores of people have attended the walk and the feedback has been very good. It combines an important lesson in photography with a leisurely walk around a part of the city.
Aidan has a relaxed manner and aims to make everyone feel welcome. He has a simple and clear style of presentation. Jargon is kept to a minimum.
Aidan’s photography and writing have been published widely online and in print. He has contributed to the Manchester Evening News, Digital Camera Magazine and helped to produce five ‘Then and Now’ titles.
Participants receive copies of handouts and his photographic exposure crib card. If people share their photographs on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, he will ‘like’ and comment.
The cost of the three hour photo walk is £45.
As well as the photo walks, Aidan also offers the Victoria Baths Workshop.
From May 2016, in conjunction with the City of Salford, he is leading photography walks along the Bridgewater Canal.
A four hour one-to-one session in photography costs £120.
The photo walk or one-to-one photography session can be presented as a gift. Aidan will provide a personalised letter which can be given to the recipient as a birthday or Christmas present.
