Unauthorised copying, downloading, alteration or use for any purpose of any photograph or article on this site is prohibited.

I am granting only the following exceptions:

A) Prospective photo buyers may download and use low resolution screen size versions of photos for layout purposes in the course of designing a project , e.g. a design agency laying out a print document, a publicity department developing a brochure or magazine I would appreciate if prospective photo buyers would contact me to let me know that my photos are being used in this way

B) Individuals may download images from this site and use them free of charge on personal, not for profit websites, but they must credit me by name next to the photo, and post an active link to this site, using the following code:

People using my photos on websites must contact me and notify me of the web pages on which my photos will be appearing. I may be able link to the pages on which my photos are appearing, so it is in the interest of people using my photos to contact me.

B) Students may use my photos and writing in student essays, dissertations, research projects, up to a maximum of 10 photographs or 1000 words of text. Students using my photos and writing in this way must contact me to obtain permission first.

All other uses of my photographs require written permission and where appropriate, payment of a usage fee.

Here are some examples of illegal use of my copyright material:

Unauthorised use of my photos on a commercial website, either in their original state or altered, e.g. incorporated into a larger piece of artwork.

Unauthorised use of downloaded screen size versions of my photos in print documents, brochures, flyers, or posters, either in their original state or altered, e.g. with my name and copyright details removed.

Use without my permission of original written content, e.g. on so-called 'scraper' sites, (sites which steal content from other sites) either in whole or in part.

Any other use of my original material without my express permission, or if by someone else, the permission of the respective copyright holder.

I actively monitor use of my material on the internet, in print and other locations, and subject to advice from lawyers, will take legal action to enforce copyright.

Otherwise all users are invited to enjoy access to all photos and articles on this site, which are published without the requirementto register or pay any subscription fee.

The site is supported through advertising revenue, sale of prints, sale of high resolution images, affiliations and photo-journalistic assigments secured through the website as a promotional vehicle.

Please respect copyright and recognise the value of intellectual property!
